Patient Satisfaction & Service Quality
OSF Saint James - John W. Albrecht Medical Center welcomes feedback from our patients and their loved ones. Patients have the opportunity to complete patient satisfaction surveys developed by Press Ganey Associates, Inc., the health care industry's leading independent vendor of satisfaction measurement services. The firm annually processes nearly 8 million completed surveys in all 50 states and serves 40 percent of all hospitals with more than 100 beds.
Hospital and emergency room patients are selected at random by Press Ganey to receive a satisfaction survey after discharge. Results are tabulated and tracked monthly, quarterly and annually for each department and for the hospital as a whole. In addition to our own scores, our results are compared to national averages so we know how OSF Saint James compares to medical centers throughout the country.
The percentage of patients who completed a survey for the final quarter of 2011, between October 1st and December 31st, rated OSF Saint James between either "very good" or "good" regarding their experience in the:
| Inpatient Services | 94% |
| Outpatient Services |
98% |
| Ambulatory Surgery |
100% |
| Emergency Services |
90% |
Our goal is to improve our service everyday and to uphold the Mission of The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis "to serve persons with the greatest care and love".
