How Gifts are Used

Gifts to OSF Saint James Foundation support many needed programs and services for patients in our communities. Gifts of every size are made through the Foundation's annual programs, as well as through planned giving vehicles.

Every contribution to the Foundation reinforces the unique bond between OSF Saint James - John W. Albrecht Medical Center and the patients we serve. Whether through a tribute, annual or planned gift, this partnership ensures that the Mission of caring for persons with the greatest care and love will continue for generations to come.

Gifts at Work

Serenity Garden
OSF Saint James - John W. Albrecht Medical Center cares for the "whole person" not just the physical being. There is a special emphasis by our health care ministry to provide for the spiritual needs of patients and their loved ones, as well as our staff. That is why we created a quiet, peaceful garden on the grounds of OSF Saint James where people may spend time in prayer or meditation. Named gift donations created this garden. Donations can be made in honor or in memory of a loved one or friend. Black granite pavers are available to be inscribed. Garden benches and sculpture, rocks, and the garden gazebo are available for naming opportunities. Please call the Foundation at (815) 842-6827.

Employee Campaign
OSF Saint James employees support an employee campaign. Gifts through the employee giving campaign improved patient care services, health education and vital equipment purchases. All have been made possible through the support of our OSF Saint James family. Gifts enable our staff to utilize the best equipment, medical technology and facilities when providing quality health care. In an era of rising costs and diminishing reimbursements, meeting this commitment is a greater challenge than ever before. That is why private donations from employees and our communities are of increasing importance. Support of the campaign and the belief in the Mission of "serving persons with the greatest care and love" goes a long way in helping to improve lives throughout our county and surrounding areas.
