MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
OSF Saint James - John W. Albrecht Medical Center provides MRI services
to the community Monday through Friday. MRI tests are scheduled
through the patient's physician's office.
CT Scanner (Computed Tomography Scanner)
OSF Saint James offers area residents the very latest CT imaging
technology. Our GE VCT 64 slice scanner is the best CT technology
available today. In addition, for all routine CT procedures, the multi
slice scanner and state-of-the-art technology gives OSF Saint James the
capability to perform specialty procedures such as CT angiography
including cardiac CT angiography and cardiac calcium scanning.
Mammography
Do you know your risk of breast cancer? Early detection means a greater
chance at a complete cure. The OSF Saint James - John W. Albrecht
Medical Center offers
diagnostic and screening mammography services, as well as information
about breast cancer and breast self-exams. All mammograms are read by
specially certified physicians. We utilize an iCAD Second-Look software
system for computer-aided detection of breast disease, assuring the
highest quality in both professional training and computer
assisted-technology.
Bone Densitometry
The information obtained by the bone densitometry test is used to
diagnose osteoporosis and predict future fracture risk and to identify
people who are candidates for treatment.
Bone Densitometry is an instant snapshot of bone
status. Fan beam technology, the superior method of bone densitometry,
is offered at OSF Saint James. It uses an extremely low-dosage x-ray
that is non-invasive and painless. Current technology allows the human
bone to be evaluated at a variety of sites including the spine, hip,
wrist, hand and heel.
Radiology
OSF Saint James Radiology Department is open 7 days/week, 24 hours/day.

Greater than 90% of results are available for your physician within 24
hours.
Laboratory
OSF Healthcare system-wide laboratory is open 7 days/week, 24 hours/day.
Ninety-nine percent of all test results are received in 24 hours.
