"Living on the Border" - Keeping Diabetes at Bay

Are you "Living on the Border?" If you have been told you have pre-diabetes, this class is designed for you. Pre-diabetes is a condition recognized as fasting blood glucose levels 100-125 mg/dl or non-fasting levels 140-199 mg/dl.

Persons with pre-diabetes can prevent the development of type 2 diabetes by making lifestyle changes that include diet and physical activity. Each participant receives a blood glucose meter and carbohydrate counting information.

Cost of the class is $20.00 and registration is required. Please call (815) 842-4970 to make your reservation.
